PTE Core is going on board in February 2024. PTE Core is an English language test for proficiency in general English skills for day-to-day situations. PTE Core is approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for all Canadian government economic visa categories, such as migration visas, work visas, and citizenship visas.

PTE Core is also aligned with the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level. PTE Core is a fully digital test with four sections: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. PTE uses AI to assess and score the test-taker's English level.
